{I don't think there's any spoilers because...well it's a pretty chill anime}
So apparently it's also a manga I believe so you could always read the manga if you feel so compelled.
This anime, well there's nothing much to really say. It's definitely kid friendly. You could watch it with all your kid siblings with no panty flashes or any subtle innuendos anywhere in sight. It's completely pure.
It's 16 9 minute episodes which means that even if you watch the intro, recap, and ED every time it should still only take you max 2.4 hours or 144 minutes, which isn't actually a huge amount of time. It's like watching a movie. Except here's the deal. Since this is for the kiddies it's not very...complex. There's no hard thinking involved and everything gets resolved. It's basically just these 5 kids using their individual skills, ie language, science, social connections, math, etc., in order to solve mysteries.
The animation is a bit choppy which is saying something since it is from 2015, but I guess with low budget or being understaffed or whatnot that's the best they could do *shrug*. Their chibis are pretty cute and their character interactions are pretty cute since it's just a bunch of middle school kids around 11 hanging out. The only weird part is when they try to make it somewhat romantic with Sunahara. And then they try to make subtle ships with the other boys which is a bit unnecessary I would say. It's a cute standalone school life/mystery combo. No real need for the romance.
The best part for me was, strangely enough, the ED. It was kind of grunge (lol I don't really know if that's the best word, but it's all I've got) and a bit like the K-ON ending (you know the one I'm talking about. With the funky cool costumes and electric colors.).
Overall I'd say it's a pretty good anime to watch with your younger siblings if you ever need to occupy them. There's nothing really standout about this anime, but it's a cheerful, innocent interlude to whatever you might be going through ヾ(^∇^)
Look at these small kids and tell me, try to tell me, they're not precious
Although she's a bit ditzy, you can't help but love friendly, hardworking, a little socially awkward Aya
#relatable (all those junior high kids with boyfriends like smh why???!)
*whispers* Kakkoii
The subtle insinuation of romance with the "I wouldn't mind getting chocolate
♡ヾ(๑❛ ▿ ◠๑ )"
*sigh* but can I really complain about the unnecessary romance? (Ya, but I won't because it's kind of cute (I know I should pick a stance and stick with it but I can't TT^TT))
HE'S THE REASON I CAN'T REALLY COMPLAIN ABOUT THE ROMANCE. Why is he such a smooth talker??? He's like 11!
One last group pic before I go *waves*
