Anime Review 6 Joshiraku

Here's the thing about bad life choices. Once you start you just can't stop. I should be editing my college essays because I kind of sort of plan on going, but instead I'm writing reviews that no one will ever read and doing other fun in the moment, but regretful later on things. *trails off in half hysterical laughter* Anyways the story of how I ended up watching this anime is a simple one: someone recommended it to me. He told me the whole reason he liked it was because there was no plot and therefore there was no reason to binge all of it at once or something like that. I know what you're thinking to yourself: what's the point of watching if there's no plot? Well the whole point is that watching it is like watching the ultimate fluff. There's no drama or anything so you can just relax as you watch and not be stressed out.

{Not Spoiler Free}

They say multiple times in the anime that this anime is just to see how cute the girls are. I totally agree with this statement because there's really no substance to any of it. It's purely just comedy and what these girls' antics. Because of this there's really not much to say.

I would like to say that since this is based around girls that are involved in a Japanese comedy style that it might be more enjoyable if you actually knew Japanese or knew about Japanese history. Since I'm not well versed in either of these some of the jokes were not as comprehensible for me. So if you knew about these things you might have a greater appreciation for the series.

Two things about this anime really stood out to me: the music and Kigu. The OP and the ED make me feel really happy. Both of them are super happy and a little nonsensical but holistically both are extremely entertaining. I and the guy who recommended Joshiraku to me found Kigu to be highly entertaining. She acts like a super innocent and pure girl, but moonlights as a hard rock, badass girl who won't take bs from anyone. The moments that show the real Kigu kept me highly amused although to be honest all of the girls were very entertaining.

I give this anime high marks for entertainment value, so you should definitely watch if you're looking for a bit of amusement.

Look how cute they are o(*^▽^*)o

Kigu is pure gold
